Head to head

Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic vs BIOMA Probiotics

Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic discloses more: 2 out of 6 against 1. That is a statement about BIOMA Probiotics's label, not about the product.

What this compares. Six yes-or-no questions about what each label discloses, scored under methodology v1.14 from dated screenshots of the two live labels (Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic captured 2026-09-07, BIOMA Probiotics captured 2026-09-07). A higher score means the label tells you more, not that the product works better. Neither product was lab-tested, and nothing here is medical advice or a recommendation to buy either one.

Where they differ

The pair splits on 3 of the six criteria. The reasoning below is the same text that appears on each product page.

1 / 0
2. Standardization percentage stated

Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic: MAPP pomegranate extract stated as >40% polyphenolic + phenolic bioactives — an earned point, not the default.

BIOMA Probiotics: IXOS xylooligosaccharide declared as 100 mg of corn cob extract with no XOS purity percentage; commercial XOS is sold at graded purities and the 1.4-8 g/d reference range is expressed as XOS, so potency depends on a percentage the label omits. Judgment call — flagged for review, as the criterion's stated examples are herbal marker compounds.

3. Chemical form or strain named

Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic: All 24 organisms carry strain designations (B. longum SD-BB536-JP, L. rhamnosus HRVD113-US, etc.); first product in the pilot to take this point under v1.6.

BIOMA Probiotics: Bifidobacterium breve, lactis and longum named to species only, no strain designations, per methodology v1.6.

6. Per-serving amounts are complete

Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic: Serving size 2 ViaCaps stated but servings per container is absent from the panel.

BIOMA Probiotics: Serving size 2 vegan capsules and 30 servings per container both stated.

Where they agree

Both labels were scored the same way on the remaining 3.

1. Exact amount for every active ingredient

Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic: Four probiotic blends disclose blend totals (224/36/36/13 mg) but no per-strain amounts.

BIOMA Probiotics: 'Proprietary Probiotic Blend' 29 mg stated as a total only, three organisms undifferentiated.

0 / 0
4. Dose within the trial range

Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic: Under methodology v1.7. Previously 1, on the DS-01 finished-product trials. Those no longer set the range: they dose a whole multi-ingredient synbiotic, so the GI benefit cannot be attributed to the pomegranate component, and their authors include manufacturer employees while an independent ingredient-level range exists. Scored instead against that independent range — 320-656 mg phenolics — which the label's 400 mg at >40% meets only to a floor of about 160 mg, at or below the dose an independent dose-response trial found null (PMID 27879044). Probiotics excluded per methodology.

BIOMA Probiotics: XOS 100 mg of extract falls below the 1.4-8 g/d reference range even at 100% purity; tributyrin excluded (no positive-outcome trial identified); probiotics excluded per methodology.

5. Certificate of analysis is public

Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic: No publicly accessible third-party certificate of analysis located 2026-09-07 (product page, brand site, site-scoped search, retail listing images); recorded as a negative finding, not a claim that none exists.

BIOMA Probiotics: No publicly accessible third-party certificate of analysis located 2026-09-07 (product page, brand site, site-scoped search, retail listing images); recorded as a negative finding, not a claim that none exists.
